2010 Bob Knight Charity Hunt Photos

Winsome Weims has had the fortune of being involved in some great events over the past few years. In 2010 we had two big hunts scheduled during our hunting season. We finished  filming another Bass Pro hunt and also had  the pleasure of guiding for a charity event with the great basketball coach Bob Knight. Knight is a legend in the basketball world and still does commentary for ESPN during college basketball games. We hunted in freezing cold temps along with 40 to 50 mph winds but still managed to have great fun and the dog work was exceptional. We are so thankful for all the wonderful friends and people we have met through our Weims.

Coach Knight took some time to sign a couple of basketballs for us and also generously posed for some photos. We are hoping he makes a return trip in 2011 !!!!

2010 Bass Pro Shops Next Generation Hunt !!!!

Back in 2010 !!!! Ben and the Next Gen team paid another visit to Iowa in 2010. We had great weather and always have fun when they come. Due to the extreme winter last year, the bird numbers were down but we managed to find a few. There were a few surprises in store for Ben and hopefully they will be in the final cut of the show !!!!

Brit was great as usual !!! We also used Sissi below and Clay this year. Weimaraners need more exposure as hunting dogs and this is a superb opportunity for people to see how good they can be !!!!!

Below, Ben looks a little upset as he washes he foot off after stumbling accross a SKUNK !!!!!  He handled it well but we all kept our distance from him the rest of the day :) :) !!!!!!
