R.J. is our pick from Brit's second litter with Field Trial legend and National Field Champion Westends Lil Sage Ryder. Brit was artificially inseminated in Febuary of 2006. Only 2 male pups were produced but we have VERY high hopes for both of them. R.J. is already showing exceptional hunting instincts and is bold and indepedent.  Ryder has been known to pass on his exceptional hunting genes and excellent conformation. This was a match made in heaven as their pedigree truly boasts some of the worlds finest hunting Weimaraners. Click HERE to read more about this breeding. RJ goes Best of Opposite at the Umpolia Kennel club show in Oregon. We want to thank Myron and Deb Meifert's grandaughter Phoebe on showing RJ to his latest win. A tremendous accomplishment  for them both.

R.J. started his puppy career under the guiding hand of Myron and Deb Meifert of Westend Kennels.  It didn't  take him long to start showing what he could do.  R.J. placed 2nd Feb 10-11 2007 at the San Francisco Bay Weimaraner Club Field Trial in open puppy. The next weekend he finished 4th at the Sacramento Valley Weimaraner Club Trial. To finish off the month of February he was awarded a Judges Award of Merit at the tough Northern California Vizla Club All-Breed Field Trial.  He is starting to show that he can compete with any dog no matter the breed. R.J. has also taken some time off running field trials to pick up some show points. He is a very nice sized dog with plenty of bone and substance. His versatility is starting to shine !!!
