Big on run with heart and style has taken "Ryder" to the top. Making both top ten Field Trial Dog Lists, Derby 94-95 All Age/Gun Dog 96-97-98 has proven Ryder's ability of being one of the true top Weimaraners of his era. Winning the 1995 and 96 WCA Western Classic was not enough. He then continued on with winning the National Championships in 1996. Ryder has also received Pacific Northwest Field Dog of the Year award for his breed in 1995-96 & 97. With his competing and placing in all breed trials, Ryder has helped to improve the opinion of the Weimaraner in the Pacific Northwest today. His career didn't stop there, in the spring of 2000 Ryder had started obedience training and completed his Companion Dog Title. Doing so has truly shown his versitility. Ryder has a real shot to go down as the number 1 sire of field champions in Weimaraner history. To this date he has produced- 3 National Field Champions-12 Field Cahmpions-8 Futurity Winners and 1 Dual Champion. He offers so much to our breed and we can't thank the Meiferts of Westend Kennels enough for the chance to add his hunting instincts and desire to our lines.

Brit's last litter with Ryder's son, NFC,NAFC,FC,AFC, Grau Geist Lil's Gust V Westend CD, MH, CGC, SDX, RDX, RN, VX is already showing tremendous promise in the field. This mix of bloodlines boasts some of the most outstanding HUNTING Weimaraners that the world has to offer. Westend Kennels has put the Weimaraner back on the map in all breed field trials. It wasn't that many years ago when the Weim was not held in very high regard when it came ther ability to hunt and compete in all breed stakes. Boy has that all changed !!! Gus and Ryder have proven they can compete with any dog and any breed. Along with a few other careful breeders, Westend Kennels has bred the Weimaraner back to what it should be.
Brit is a hunting mans dream. She works extemely well with the footed hunter and shows very nice range. She can pin a wild bird with ease. The dogs in her pedigree were carefully chosen to bring out the best of both worlds in a hunting dog. Brit has exceptional conformation and has won some dog shows while competing. There are no less than 6 different countries found in her 5 generation pedigree. Many people have gone to great lengths and expense to put together this outstanding pedigree. Sally Johnston of Britfeld Kennels in Australia has been a true friend and mentor. When Sally imported Xardiko ( Brit's dad) from Mimmtrix Kennels in Sweden no one could have guessed that his offspring would be so competitive here in the United States. Kye, who has the same father as Brit, was tearing up the WCA derby courses last year and made it to number 7 on the WCA Derby list. He is now in training and will debut in broke gun dog events this fall. We are extremely excited about the future and want to thank everyone who has been so helpful in getting us to this point !!
