Silver Rain Gold Rush Rider

"Sage"

In Loving Memory of our boy "Sage"

The time has come I think you know
the Lord is calling so I must go
I love you so much; I wish it wasn't so
I wish I could stay; I don't want to go

You're the best family a dog ever had
so kind and gentle, never mean or mad
I'll never forget the day that we met
I was so lucky to become your pet

You opened your door and showed me your heart
I'll never forget you; we'll never part
You loved me and cared for me over the years
you taught me everything and took away my fears

The Lord is calling now I must go
but before I go I want you to know
I know it hurts to lose a friend
but I'll always be with you even to the end.

Silver Rain Gold Rush Rider or "Sage" is one of our up and coming field trial dogs. Sage comes from Silver Rain Weimaraners and was bred by Leslie Like. We want to thank her for the opportunity to own such wonderful, loving companion. Sage was destined to be a field dog with his father being one of the best Weims to ever run in field trials. His father is the highly titled NFC, FC, AFC, Westends Lil Sage Rider, SH, CGC, CD, NSD, NRD, V. Sage's mom, CH. Islevue Rainy Day Dream'n, comes from a long line of champions in the show ring. The best of both worlds, field and show, exsist in this promising young dog.

Sage made it as high as 8th on the TOP TEN Derby List and won the Western  Washington Field Trial to get his Derby points. Sage also placed 4th in his first broke gun dog stake. He is under the guiding hand of  Debra and Myron Meifert of Westend Kennels who own Sage's dad Ryder. We can't thank them enough !!!! As you can see by the pictures he is "pure" class on point and has exceptional conformation !!!  We are very proud of his accomplishments to this point and can't wait to see how he does in the upcoming season.

Sage has been very consistent running field trials and it's back to work for him in the Fall of 2007. He placed numerous times in both the Puppy and Derby classes as a pup and also placed in his first broke gun dog stake !!  After some well deserved R&R he will be back tearing up the field this coming fall. With style and class on point who knows how far he can go !!!!!
Thanks to everyone who has helped bring him to where he is today and we look forward to great things to come !!!!!!!!!!
