Winsome Outback Zane V Westend,NRD

"ZANE"

Zane is a star waiting to shine !!! Early on he showed very strong bird desire, and independence. Zane has such a wonderful, loving personality but when you turn this boy loose at a field trial you know good things are about to happen.  Zane made his mark early in his career by placing in virtually every puppy field trial he was entered in. He ended up making the Top 10 Pacific Northwest Puppy All-Breed Field Trial list. This is one of the most difficult areas in the U.S. for all-breed field trials. He followed up his puppy career by making the WCA Derby Top 10. Zane has his Puppy and Derby points towards his FC title and will be making his gun dog debut in the fall of 2007. This past spring he easily passed the WCA retrieving test to earn the NRD title behind his name. Zane is following in his fathers footsteps, NFC, FC, AFC Grau Geist Lil's Gust V. Westend,CD, RN, MH, SDX, RDX, VX (Gus). He hunts and retrieves with determination and style. Zanes mom, Britfeld Winsome Lady JH, NSD is an excellent Gun Dog with superb natural instincts.

Zane has been professionally handled by Myron and Debra Meifert of Westend Kennels with loving, experienced training!!!! Zane is definitely our SHOOTING STAR !!!!!!!!

Zane finishes on the Top 10 NW All-Breed Puppy List !!!!

Zane finished his outstanding puppy field trial career by ending up on the Northwest All-Breed Top 10 list. He has been a consistent field trial competitor and soon he will be training for his broke dog debut. Zane is maturing into a very nice field dog and we are looking forward to his career !!!!

Zane places 3rd at his first All-Breed Field Trial

Zane finished 3rd in the Open Puppy at the East Seattle Pointer Club All-Breed Field Trial held February 25-26 in Scattercreek Washington. It was only his third attempt at running trials and Zane ended up being the highest placing Weimaraner puppy out of 6 !! Out of 16 starters there were 6 weimaraners, 7 GSP's, 2 Pointers and 1 German Wirehair Pointer.  The Weimaraner has had a tough time competing in all breed trials over the years but that is all starting to change. Westend Kennels and their exceptional hunting lines are making their mark beating some of the finest hunting dogs no matter the breed. Zane is a wide ranging hunting dog already with speed and desire. He is already showing signs of being a great competitor like his father !!

Zane earned his puppy points and finished 1st at the Willamette Weimaraner Club Field Trial held April 29-30 in Madras Oregon. He also finished 2nd at a Washington Gorden Setter trial held on March 25-26 2006. Zane has already made quite a name for himself on the tough Pacific Northwest all breed field trial circuit.

Zane finishes 4th at the Sea-Tac German Wirehaired Pointer Club all breed field trial !!!

He placed 4th at the San Francisco Bay Weimaraner club field trail and 4th at the El Paso Del Norte GSP all-breed field trial. We will keep you updated as his derby career unfolds !!!
